NBA Africa has linked up with Old School, one of South Africa’s premium streetwear brands, to drop something special: the NBA African Original Lifestyle Collection. This new line pays tribute to six legendary teams – the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, LA Lakers, Miami Heat, and New York Knicks – with gear that blends hoops heritage and modern street style.
Think premium knitwear and tees that don’t just rep your squad, but also celebrate Africa’s colors, energy, and culture. It’s basketball meets streetwear, with a vibe that feels fresh, relevant and proudly rooted in the continent.
The collection is now available at oldschool.co.za and in Old School stores across South Africa. And starting April 2026, it’ll also be hitting NBA Stores in South Africa and online at NBAStore.Africa.
The drop lines up perfectly with some big hoops moments: World Basketball Day is coming up on Sunday, Dec. 21, marking the anniversary of when Dr. James Naismith first introduced the game back in 1891. And just a few days later, it’s the NBA’s annual Christmas Day showcase — five games, live in Africa on ESPN, Disney+ and NBA League Pass.
