Jr. NBA | Kigali, Rwanda | During the BAL Season 4 Playoffs
In collaboration with the Rwandan Basketball Federation (FERWABA), the NBA Africa basketball operations team conducted several successful grassroots initiatives, engaging 731 youth and generating excitement around the BAL games.
Activities included a Her Time To Play clinic for 160 high school girls and two Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA clinics for 510 boys and girls, focusing on basketball fundamentals, teamwork, and leadership.
Additionally, a specialized clinic for 26 wheelchair basketball athletes promoted inclusivity, demonstrating that basketball is for everyone, regardless of physical ability.
These initiatives by NBA Africa aim to create a diverse and inclusive sporting environment, highlighting basketball’s universal appeal and fostering fans across the continent.
